How do I refer?

If you are a support worker or other professional seeking to refer a young person or family, please send a brief email of introduction to triage@familyservices.org.au if you would like us to consider a specific request or inquiry. Our capacity to take on complex family referrals will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and will take into consideration:


  • Current protective factors and existing level of support
  • The length of time the referring agent is involved
  • Readiness of all parties to engage (this includes: access to transport; psychological barriers to accessing service; goals of all parties involved)
  • Our current clinical capacity
  • The 'best fit' of service under a 10-session per year Medicare model
